Comparing Gurugram with Delhi? Ask our doctor
Dr. Sunita Singh Rathore, Gynecologist and IVF Specialist, Delhi Medical Council Reg. No. 18257.
Our clinic is 45 to 90 minutes from Gurugram by the Yellow Line metro or road, depending on traffic. A consultation with our doctor gives you a second written estimate to set beside any Gurugram quote.
Gurugram's registered surrogacy clinics sit mostly in the sectors of the old city and along the Golf Course Road belt. The entries we found range from Sector 14 and New Railway Road to Sector 51, DLF Phase 3 and Palam Vihar. All carry HR/SC numbers, the prefix for Haryana.
The list is longer than the number of clinics. Prime IVF in Sector 23A appears three times, as Prime IVF Centre and Prime IVF, with numbers from 2022 and 2024. The newest entry is Matritava in Palam Vihar, with a 2025 number.
Some entries, such as Artemis Hospital, are full hospitals rather than standalone fertility centres. That matters for cost, because the delivery hospital affects the final bill.

Gurugram couples on choosing a clinic
-
Kavita and Rahul's first meeting was an eligibility discussion, not a sales pitch. It was followed by a written estimate and a named doctor who stayed with them through the process.

Shalini and Deepak travelled from Kolkata to Delhi for treatment. One coordinator kept a single checklist for their travel, certificates, IVF and delivery, so they always knew the next step.

Ten rows, eight clinics
The registry lists each registration separately, not each clinic. A clinic that renewed, or registered another unit, can therefore appear more than once. Prime IVF Centre and Prime IVF, both in Sector 23A, account for three of the ten rows.
The other seven names appear once each, spread from the old city to Sector 51. Repeat rows are normal. If you shortlist a clinic with more than one number, ask which registration covers the unit that will treat you. Then match that number on the clinic's certificate.
Checking a hospital, not just a brand
A well-known hospital name is not proof of surrogacy registration. A hospital may hold ART registration for IVF without the separate surrogacy registration the Act requires. Check both.
- Find the rowSearch the hospital's name on the National ART & Surrogacy Registry list of surrogacy clinics.
- Match the localityLarge groups may have several Gurugram sites. Make sure the row's locality is the one you will visit.
- See the certificateAsk for the surrogacy registration certificate and compare its number with the registry.
- Ask about deliveryFind out where the surrogate will deliver and how that hospital prices delivery, a caesarean and the stay.
What the registration years tell you
Most Gurugram numbers carry the year 2022. A few are later: one Prime IVF row from 2024 and Matritava from 2025.
A later year does not mean a newer or less experienced clinic. It may simply be a fresh registration for a unit or a renewal. The year is a reference point for checking, not a quality mark.
ART registration for IVF must be renewed every five years. When you shortlist a clinic, ask until when both its ART and surrogacy registrations are valid. A clinic should be able to answer that at once.
Weighing the commute
For many Gurugram couples, the real choice is between a clinic near home and one near the office, often in Delhi. Distance counts on the days you must attend at a fixed time, mainly egg collection.
Across the whole process, it counts less. The wife attends a consultation, a few scans, egg collection and some reviews. The surrogate's pregnancy visits are hers to make, not yours. Pick the clinic whose doctor and written estimate you trust, then plan the commute around it.
If you work in Delhi, a clinic there may even be closer on weekdays than one across Gurugram. Map the route from your office as well as from home before deciding.
What to put in writing before you sign
- The name of the doctor who plans your treatment.
- Each cost as its own line: tests, medicines, IVF, transfers, insurance, delivery and legal work.
- How many of the three permitted embryo transfers the price covers.
- The insurer and term of the surrogate's 36-month policy.
- Which registered ART bank supplies donor gametes, if a medical board certifies the need.
Ask for these points before the first payment, not after. Clinics that answer them clearly in writing are easier to compare. Our own figures are on the Gurugram surrogacy cost page. Read the eligibility rules before your first consultation anywhere.
