Gurugram is in Haryana, and couples here tend to research hard before they choose. Many compare clinics across Delhi NCR, read the fine print of hospital packages, and check what their employer's health policy covers. This page is written for that kind of comparison.
Our figures are the full Delhi breakdown. A Gurugram couple pays the same package as a Delhi couple and adds only local travel. The clinic is 45 to 90 minutes away by the Yellow Line metro or by road, depending on traffic.
Two things deserve extra attention from Gurugram. The first is the delivery hospital, because private hospitals in Gurugram can cost more for delivery and stay. The second is traffic on fixed-time procedure days. Both are covered below, along with a short guide to reading your company health cover.
Surrogacy package for Gurugram couples
₹4–5 lakhSurrogacy treatment package
- Consultations and treatment planning
- IVF to create embryos (stimulation, egg collection, lab work)
- Embryo freezing
- Embryo transfer to the surrogate
- Surrogate medical screening
What you finally pay depends on the patient's condition, including egg quality and response to medicines. Expect your exact figure on paper before treatment begins.
Condition-based extras, including caesarean and twins
Two of these lines, caesarean delivery and a twin pregnancy, depend partly on the delivery hospital. That makes them worth asking about in any Gurugram quote.
| Additional IVF cycle | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
| Additional embryo transfer (up to 3 attempts allowed) | ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000 |
| Donor eggs (when medically certified) | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,50,000 |
| Donor sperm (when medically certified) | ₹25,000 – ₹65,000 |
| Genetic testing of embryos (PGT) | ₹20,000 – ₹50,000 |
| Caesarean delivery | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
| Twin pregnancy and delivery | ₹1,00,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
| Additional legal work | ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000 |
| Tests and scans before and during treatment | ₹47,700 – ₹95,000 |
What the legal route adds
Every altruistic surrogacy carries these costs, in Haryana as anywhere else. Your advocate handles the certificates and the parentage order.
| Pregnancy care of the surrogate | ₹4,00,000 – ₹4,50,000 |
| Delivery (normal) | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
| Insurance for the surrogate, 36 months | ₹65,000 – ₹1,45,000 |
| Medical board and authority certificates | ₹60,000 – ₹95,000 |
| Legal documents and parentage order | ₹1,60,000 – ₹3,20,000 |
| Case coordination | ₹1,30,000 – ₹3,15,000 |
| Package plus these costs | ₹13.65–20.25 lakh |

Kavita and Rahul's first meeting was an eligibility discussion, not a sales pitch. It was followed by a written estimate and a named doctor who stayed with them through the process.

Shalini and Deepak travelled from Kolkata to Delhi for treatment. One coordinator kept a single checklist for their travel, certificates, IVF and delivery, so they always knew the next step.

The delivery line can swing the total
After the package, delivery is often the line that varies most between quotes. Private hospitals in Gurugram can charge more for delivery and the hospital stay than our table shows. A quote that names a different hospital may look similar on paper and end up higher.
In our breakdown, a normal delivery is ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000. A caesarean adds ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000, and a twin pregnancy adds ₹1,00,000 – ₹2,00,000. Ask every clinic you compare which hospital the surrogate will deliver in, and whether these extras are priced or left open.
Spending in three stages
An IVF surrogacy does not land as one bill. It spreads across three broad stages, which helps when you plan cash flow around salaries and bonuses.
| Stage | Main costs |
|---|---|
| Before pregnancy | The package (IVF, embryo freezing, transfer, surrogate screening), your tests, the certificates |
| During pregnancy | The surrogate's pregnancy care, her 36-month insurance, any extra transfer |
| At and after birth | Delivery, a caesarean if needed, the parentage order |
Knowing the stages also helps if your employer's cover, a loan or family support arrives at a particular time. Match each source of money to the stage it will fund. The legal costs and the surrogate's care are not optional. Plan for them from the first day, even though they fall later.
Reading your employer's health cover
Many Gurugram couples have group health insurance through work. Do not assume it pays for surrogacy or IVF. Policies differ a great deal, and the wording decides everything.
- Search the policy document for the words infertility, assisted reproduction, IVF and surrogacy.
- Check the exclusions list as carefully as the benefits list.
- Look at the maternity benefit and whether it can apply when another woman carries the pregnancy.
- Ask HR or the insurer to confirm cover in writing before treatment starts.
- Keep every itemised bill and report, in case a claim is possible later.
A policy that excludes surrogacy may still cover some tests or a consultation, so read each benefit separately. Remember that the surrogate needs her own 36-month insurance policy, which you must buy separately. Your group policy does not replace it.
Procedure days and Gurugram traffic
Egg collection and embryo transfer happen at a fixed time set by the treatment calendar. They cannot be moved because a road is jammed. On those days, leave early and allow for the slow end of the 45 to 90 minute range.
The Yellow Line metro is a steady option when roads are slow. On egg collection day, though, a car home is often easier, since the wife should rest. Other visits can usually be booked at a time that suits you.
Haryana residents and the certificate route
You apply for the medical indication certificate to the District Medical Board of the state where you live or work. For the essentiality certificate, you go to the appropriate authority that oversees that board. A couple living in Gurugram and working in Delhi may have a choice of state.
Your advocate confirms the right route and files the papers. Treatment itself can happen at any registered surrogacy clinic, including ours in Delhi. The steps are laid out on the process and certificates page.
Comparing Gurugram quotes fairly
Gurugram has several registered surrogacy clinics, listed with their numbers on our Gurugram surrogacy centre page. Compare their quotes with ours on the same rows: package, extras, insurance, delivery hospital and legal work.
A quote that looks higher may simply be more complete. A quote that looks lower deserves a second read for missing rows. Before spending on tests, check the eligibility rules. Age limits and the certified medical need apply to every couple, wherever they are treated.
